Euro-Reef™ "RC" CS Re-Circulating Series Protein Skimmer

The Euro-Reef™ CS "RC" Re-Circulating External Skimmers offer the best configuration for the highest possible organic extraction per pass through. This design allows you to control the flow rate through the skimmer. The foam generating pumps work on a loop that takes water from the body, mix it with air, shred it and pump it back into the body. The foam generating pump is mounted to the body on the left. The drain valve (gray with black cap) located on the bottom right is provided for easy service and emptying of the skimmer. The inlet to the skimmer where water is fed into the skimmer is located at the upper right of the skimmer body. A feeding pump rated at 1 to 1.5 (maximum) times the system"s volume is recommended. On the far right of the skimmer you see the quick disconnect union and Gate Valve Outlet Assembly, this is where water exits the skimmer. You can use the red handle to control the outflow of water and thus the water/foamate level in the skimmer. Super simple! Euro-Reef™"s Recirculating skimmers can handle larger bio-loads depending on the flow through rates. Slower flow through rates offer longer dwell times and higher "per pass" extraction levels. Ratings for these skimmers are offered as a "Base +" rather than one "Ideal" aquarium size. Recirculating Pumps(s) included. For in sump or external use.
